Accountant
Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for the day-to-day activities for an assigned portfolio of partnership funds. The partnership funds are Limited Partnerships that have invested in Low Income Housing Tax Credit transactions. Duties include, but are not limited to, preparing audit and tax return work papers for outside preparers. Some SEC reporting may be included in the portfolio, which would include drafting Form 10K and 10Q’s.
The successful candidate will have two to three years of experience in accounting. If the experience is in the field of real estate, property management or low income housing, it would be preferred. The ideal candidate must have excellent written and verbal skills and a strong ability to work with numbers. In addition they must possess the ability to work independently, as well as the capability to work within a team environment. Proficiency in MS Office is required. Lastly, this position requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
Qualifications:
- Strong foundation of GAAP accounting.
- Any exposure to federal tax laws would be highly beneficial.
- Ability to organize and schedule tasks in support of multiple projects with a wide range of production and monitoring requirements.
- Strong computer skills required, focusing on MS Office.
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting discipline.
