Regional Director - Structured Assets
WNC & Associates, Inc., is the fourth largest privately held owner of affordable housing in the United States and one of the largest syndicators of the low income housing tax credit (LIHTC). WNC seeks a Regional Director to provide extensive oversight of significantly underperforming assets within its portfolio of affordable multifamily communities.
Position Responsibilities:
The Regional Director is responsible for the operational and financial viability of each partnership assigned.
- Prepares detailed analysis of underperforming assets.
- Implements associated work out plan for the owners, lenders, local and government agencies.
- Supervises management agents to achieve the goals and objectives of the investors and the Structured Assets Committee.
- Physical site and property management review may require 40% national travel.
Requirements:
- Must be able to interpret and understand financing structures, including bond financing and constraints, refinancing parameters, recapitalization of reserves and debt restructuring documents, loan modification plans, and equity infusions / restructuring documents, regulatory and partnership agreements.
- BA or graduate degree in finance or related field or 10-15 years of experience in real estate and finance.
- Five to eight years of responsible experience in asset management, property management or real estate financing.
- Working knowledge of various computer programs (Word, Excel, Lotus, etc.).
- Successful candidates will have experience in financial modeling, and experience and technical knowledge of Section 42 and real estate syndication.
This position reports to the Vice President of Asset Management.
